....almost a year....cont'd

Aurora Glynne: Well she is growing up to be quite a wonderful young lady. She has a heart as beautiful as her face, she is very intelligent and inquisitive, I only hope I can keep up, she loves to learn and was the spelling bee champ for 2nd grade in the entire school district! Hawken came along to sheer her on since she comes to all of his games, and she was beaming the whole time. She also did the Miss Effie pageant this year again and was 1st princess (first runner up) and did very good at all the events. She is still the princess though and her minions(us) continue to bow to her whims...I know every episode of iCarly and Hannah Montana by heart!

Chase Charles: While this little man could fill up a blog on his own, I will try to be concise, this summer has brought challenges and joys, the beginning was rocky, since he was so bored without school. Things settled down though and Chase is able to control his impulses good enough that we have been able to spen lots of time outdoors and at parks all over the area. Chase is doing PT/OT and Speech at Grand Itasca in Grand Rapids once a week and that is going wonderfully, his speech is astoundingly better and he asks lots of questions now. Don't get me wrong its not all roses and sunshine, but the good always outweighs the bad. Last week after a particularly terrible evening I broke down and cried, Chase wiped my tears and looked in my eyes with those gorgeous blue eyes and asked "Sad?" I told him yes and he gave me his very best monkey hug leaned back and asked once again "Sad?" After all the love he put in that hug how could I be sad, I told him, that I was "Happy now." and he slid down and hopped away chanting "Happy now, Happy now, Happy now..." My miracle is still amazing me everyday.

Aspen Olivia: Our Delight! This baby has changed our lives! I hate to lay all that on one adorable little girl but she has!! We all revel in her escapades and fear for her safety since she is absolutely fearless. She has Corey's blue eyes and my personality with spirit of an adventurer and security that unconditional love gives kids and she has in abundance, she will try anything. She has already mastered playground equipment and physical challenges that Aurora has only recently accomplished! She is filled with such joy and love that Chase even returns her hugs. She will not settle in to sleep at night until she has helped put her Aurora and Chase to bed, given them kisses and told them "yud you" (love you). Oh My but this child keeps me hopping though!!! As my first climber I am learning quickly how to prevent her kitchen and bathroom cupboard scaling, but each day she figures out something new...I keep hoping that my creativity is equal to hers.

Corey is doing Stucco again and he is happy to be back at it. He missed it more than he was willing to admit and the time away from the kids is hard but he loves what he does.

Me...I am at a bit of a crossroads, after realizing that I will not make a good medical coder, I have no idea of what I would like to do when I grow up. I should say that differently, I have lots of things that I would like to do but none that bring in a reliable pay check, without too much time away from my kids. Our schedules are pretty demanding and I hope I can figure out something soon. Its time to get the Watsons fiscally solvant again. :P I would love to be an advocate for parents of kids with medical issues, I would love to write, I would love to be a photographer, I would love to stay home and chill while someone else does my house work and I can just hang with the kids!!
