Chase playing the "rain" sprinkler, I love seeing him enjoy the simple pleasures of a childs summer!
This morning at 5:45 I met Robin on the road and we walked 3 miles we didn't get to walk yesterday morning because the road was under water!! Our road is 2.5 miles long and about 1 mile of it was under water yesterday. The water has mostly receded but the earthy smell of the swamp water is lingering. The humidity is very high and even though there is a chill in the air it is hot. So even at a moderate pace sweating is easy, lol I just wish it was a proper gauge of activity and not just because the air is thick with water. I keep hoping to see some critters but we chat too much so its possible that they stay away so they don't have to hear us. :)
Aspen woke up at 4:45 this morning while Chase slept in, lol so now I have 2 sabotaging my sleep... :P I guess I had better get used to going to bed earlier.
Aurora is off to REACH and Aspen, Chase and I are going to do something ....maybe nothing...I really want to go to the Lost 40 this summer maybe we can do that, or the visitor center in Marcell... there is also a CCC camp over by Blackduck I would love to go explore...so many little things so little time....
Football will be cranking up soon, the boys will have captains practices soon, it always shocks me how fast summer blazes by. Hawken, Mark and Dylan were shooting clay pigeons out here last night, its nice to see how they can have that much fun right in the yard!
Chase...we will have to see what kind of day this will be, yesterday he had a great day but lots of bouncing, and chatter, sometimes I would just like to help him reset himself so he doesn't have to go throught that, it breaks my heart. He sounds very happy, and like he's having the time of his life, but he would love to get control and can't, I see the struggle in his eyes. He comes to me and sits with me for a hug and I try to help him by giving him deep pressure, poof buddy.
