The Fair...part 2

On Sunday I took Hawken, Aurora and Aspen to the fair, Chase and Corey stayed home. It was fun but the fun was dimmed by their absence. Knowing Chase's recent reactions to crowds and strange, vast, and noisy buildings let alone, loud music and abrupt noises. I knew in my heart it would be a sensory nightmare for him, but that knowing wasn't enough to make me feel better about him not being there, not even when our worries were confirmed. Even Aspen was a little startled and nervous in the barns, so Chase would have been upset for sure. I kept thinking that Chase would like this or that, and going to the fair is one of the best summer memories for most children, will he ever get to have that? Will he mind if he doesn't? I hated to leave him that day, he knew we were going someplace without him and he was missing out of something so I explainged to him that it was loud and scary where we were going and that I didn't want him to get scared so I was going to have him stay home with daddy. I think he got it, but I'm not sure and I was still sad about leaving him. :(
The kids had fun, but then Aspen got hot and we cut the day short Aurora got to ride lots of rides since I hit the wrist band special just right, completely by accident. When Aspen got too warm I took her to the car and Hawken too Aurora on more rides for a while so she could have more fun, she was so cool, hangin out with her big brother!
I was a little over stimulated and it exhausted me so I was not too sad to head to the car for a while and some AC, LOL! :P
